In addition to being Owner & President of MR Davidson since 2001, I have over 25 years experience occupying senior level positions in manufacturing companies. Positions served include: Chairman of Board - Thixotech, President/CEO of Bertram Yacht, Group President for Dura Automotive, Divisional President at ITT Automotive and Divisional Sales Manager at General Motors, Delco Remy Division.

Functional experience includes multiple positions in manufacturing, sales & engineering. Assignments encompassed global responsibility including assignments in Germany & England.

As you can gather from the above summary, I believe my experiences and those from the other associates at MR Davidson will allow us to understand your needs and business concerns.

I began my professional career at 21 years of age promptly after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. My first experiences came rapidly within a multi-billion dollar, fast paced and customer service oriented business model. In just my first year, I was quickly promoted through the ranks leading to operation of my own start up branch and building my own core business. Soon after displaying my abilities and exceeding short term goals, I was again promoted to managing one of the largest offices in the Carolinas. It was here that my talents were noticed by the staff at Management Recruiters of Davidson and I myself was recruited. In my first year with our firm I was recognized as a substantial contributor and helped our team achieve a record setting level of accomplishment.

In my time here at MR Davidson, I have successfully placed numerous high level executives in the window and door industry. The most predominant placements I have been a part of are at the Director Level within organizations valued in excess of several hundred million dollars. Additionally, my expertise has helped make connections with multiple other levels of management, ranging from sole contributors up through key levels of middle management.

I have placed several impact sales professionals on every executive and associate level in the building products industry. My professional background with a multi-billion dollar organization has groomed me for my current capacity. I bring an in-depth knowledge of sales and account management positions through my experience within large organizations.

I have been involved in the window industry my entire career. I started as a window installer in high school and put myself through college as an installation subcontractor.

In 1984, After college, I opened Dorsey Windows, Inc. in Westfield, MA specializing in sales and installation of residential vinyl replacement windows and doors, commercial aluminum windows and storefront glazing.

In 1996, I sold my business and joined a regional vinyl window manufacturer as their assistant plant manager. In 1998 I was promoted to Sales Manager. In 1999 I was recruited by an MRI office and placed with a National window manufacturer as their Northeast Regional Sales Manager. In 2004 I was promoted to National Sales Manager of their sunroom division.

I am now serving as a consultant with MR Davidson, part of the MRI Network. I find it very rewarding to work with Industry professionals and be surrounded by a group of young, dynamic account executives and project coordinators who really know their business.
